[Roman spends so much time convincing himself that he's incapable of feeling as others do. Peter does something to reverse that. The emotions are all real, all raw. And right now they're enough to drive him out of his mind. He could use someone else's heart. What for, he's not sure when he hardly knows what to do right with his own. A wolf heart would make all of his suffering worth it.
The jerking the barely acceptable speech means that Peter's ready. Instead of trying to speak again, he answers by pulling back just enough to push back into his body again harder. Then again. Again. He can't bite and do this at the same time. The amount of control it takes to keep steady, stand and breathe at the same time is all consuming.
